GDC No: 65510 Martin@PrestburyRoadDental.co.uk Martin graduated from Liverpool University in 1990 and became a Partner at Prestbury Road Dental Practice in 1995 following a period as an Associate. Martin's main interests are restorative and cosmetic dentistry and he recently completed a one year course, in both Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Aesthetic Dentistry at St Ann's Dental Education Centre in Manchester. He is in the final stage of completing The Royal College of Surgeons Diploma, the MJDF. Outside work Martin enjoys various exercise classes and riding his BMW motorbike. He is married with three children. |

GDC No: 63306 Ian@PrestburyRoadDental.co.uk Ian qualified at Liverpool University in 1988 and has an interest in cosmetic dentistry - in particular crowns, bridges, veneers and bleaching. Before becoming a partner at Prestbury Road Dental Practice in 2002, he was a vocational trainer for newly qualified Dentists at his own Practice in South Manchester. He is currently studying for the postgraduate qualification of MJDF (Membership of the joint dental faculties) and is experienced in treating nervous patients. He is married to Carol and they have a daughter. In his spare time, Ian's hobbies include restoring old cars, as well as spending time with his family. |

Reg No: 5689 Karen@PrestburyRoadDental.co.uk Karen qualified as a Dental Hygienst from Liverpool Dental Hospital in 2000. Since qualifying, she has completed all the extended duties courses and gained extensive experience in delivering and promoting a high standard of oral health care suited to individual patient needs, with a particular interest in prevention. A regular attendee of courses in Continuing Professional Development to keep abreast of current views and techniques. She has also completed a basic course in Sign Language to strengthen communication with patients with hearing impairments and a Level 1 course in Neurolinguistic Programming. Karen is a very keen cyclist who has represented Great Britain and Scotland. She also enjoys windsurfing and spending all of her spare having fun with her young son. |

Carol Lax EDH
Reg No: 3587 Carol@PrestburyRoadDental.co.uk Carol qualified as a Dental Hygienist from Liverpool Dental Hospital in 1988, gaining the Oral B Tutors award. Prior to her qualification, Carol was an Oral Health Educator for the community Dental Service, where her interest developed in leading patients into better understanding of preventing gum and dental disease. Since qualifying, Carol has completed the Extended Duties course at Bristol School of Dental Hygiene. She has also been on numerous Continuing Professional Development courses; including Master Class training days in psychology and hypnosis applied to Dentistry. Carol has a keen interest in treating nervous patients and in Oral Health Education for adults and children. In her spare time, Carol enjoys gardening, cooking, needlework and spending time with her husband Ian and their daughter. |
